Locales The CLDR (Common Locale Data Repository) now include 54 new African locales thanks to the efforts of the ANLoc locales project. This contribution was released as part of Unicode CLDR version 1.8 and dramatically changes the landscape for African languages.

Release of 13 African locales

Locales The first 13 locales produced by the ANLoc 100 African Locales Initiative are now available. These locales are entirely public domain. We will be submitting them to CLDR during their next window. If you would like to use the data before it is included within CLDR, you can download in the following manners:
